Madeira cable car

Attraction, transport, and observation deck, three in one is Funchal cable car (Teleférico). Admire the city from a height, soaring in the sky in a transparent cabin, climb to a tropical garden, see how the flaming ball of the sun flows into the endless ocean - all this in 15 minutes of cable car travel. In general, there are two routs: one (inclined length of 3200 meters) connects the embankment in the old town and Monte, the second transports passengers between Monte and the Botanical Garden in 9 minutes.

Opening hours: from 9 am to 5 pm (closed on December 25).

Teleférico Fare Funchal - Monte

Adults: € 11 one way, € 16 round trip.

Children under 6: free. Children 7-14 years old: € 5.50 one way, € 8 round trip.

Pick-up / drop-off areas and cabins are designed with wheelchair accessibility in mind. When boarding / disembarking a passenger with reduced mobility, employees slow down the speed of the cable car or stop the cabins. Employees are always alert and ready to accompany passengers. For safety reasons, only one wheelchair passenger can be accommodated in one cabin.
