4th International Rezept-Sport Wheelchair Half marathon starts in Sochi

Russia, France, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, Zimbabwe - Paralympic athletes from these countries will arrive in Sochi to compete in speed on the Formula 1 race track. On October 9, the 4th International Rezept-Sport Wheelchair Half marathon starts here.


The race was organized by the All-Russian Association of Disabled People (VOI), the All-Russian public organization "Russian Union of Disabled Sports" (RSSI) and the United Country Foundation for the Disabled with the support of the Sochi city administration.


The main goals of the half marathon are the development and promotion of physical culture and sports, the promotion and development of races on sports carriages among people with disabilities and the strengthening of ties between physical and sports organizations of people with disabilities.


The Sochi Autodrom track, 21 km long, has been taking the international sports carriage semi-marathon since 2015. Pupils of the Russian Paralympic national team head coach Irina Gromova and six-time champion of the Paralympic Winter Games Sergey Shilov will perform from the Russian side.
