Saudi Airlines, the national carrier airline of Saudi Arabia, launched a new service for passengers with disabilities that enables them to access all services of Saudi Arabia, including the discount granted to persons with disabilities through an electronic platform without the need to go to sales offices.

As of today, persons with disabilities can enjoy all Saudia services, including the discount offered through the Saudia reservation website (www.saudia.com) via an access to the special discount page with entering their ID details, date of birth and expiry date to check the guest’s eligibility for the discounted rate. Then, they can complete the booking, purchase and get issued the ticket, as well as additional services such as wheelchairs or reception assistance on arrival as well as many types of special meals that can be requested by the guest without any extra charge.

Saudi Airlines provides wheelchairs for low-mobility passengers at every airport it operates. Some airports have jet-bridges, while others have special equipment (ex. mobile lift) to board customers who cannot or may require assistance in climbing stairs.  Visually impaired travelers could get assistance at the departure and arrival airports from Saudi Airlines.  Passengers may also receive an individual safety briefing to ensure that they are properly advised of all safety issues. As for hearing disabled people, all Saudia aircrafts have the guides for deaf guests available onboard. The guide contains 53 illustrated pictures of all onboard guests needs. The guests may point at the service they require. This is considered to be the final communication option available for the crew to communicate with deaf guests.
