RZD: The Mobility Assistance Center helped 40,000 passengers

For the first quarter of 2018, the Mobility Assistance Center of RZD helped more than 40 thousand low-mobility passengers - almost 70% more than a year earlier. As the press service of the company informed, the Center employees work at more than 500 railway stations.


"At most stations, services are provided by full-time employees. However, given the steady growth in applications from low-mobility passengers, the project of creating specialized assistance services at railway stations serving a significant number of passengers in major cities near spa and health zones, rehabilitation centers is actively developing, "the message says.


Such services operate at 109 stations, 28 of which were launched in the first quarter of 2018 in the Krasnodar, Primorsky and Stavropol regions, Kursk, Astrakhan, Lipetsk, Belgorod, Samara regions and the Republics of Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria and Mordovia.


"Thanks to specialized services, low-mobility passengers can quickly get help in issuing travel documents, while traveling through the station complex (cash desks, waiting rooms, storage rooms, medical posts, etc.) and boarding a train," the RZD said.
