Airbnb offers online experiences from around the world

Spend a day with the Olympic bobsled champion, attend a cooking lesson in San Francisco, or a magic session, learn all about wine with a cool expert from Portugal, listen to performances of Latin Grammy musicians ... Airbnb service has brought together unique impressions around the world in which you can participate without leaving your home.

All over the world, people stay at home to prevent the spread of a new coronavirus infection, but this does not mean that life has stopped - all activity has temporarily gone online. Airbnb's rental service during the pandemic has offered its users a new format of entertainment and mutual support - an Online Experiences.

“Airbnb today announces the launch of Online Experiences, a new way for people to connect, travel virtually and earn income during the COVID-19 crisis. With communities around the world staying home to protect their own health and the health of others, people can’t pursue routine activities like going to work, exercising or pursuing a passion. Now, Online Experiences will change that by allowing hosts to earn an income in these uncertain times, and bring their transformative virtual Experience to millions of guests,” the company said in a statement.

Airbnb offers a variety of options to choose from. You can learn to meditate with Buddhist monks in Japan, walk virtually with Chernobyl dogs, cook dinner according to family Moroccan recipes, become a professional coffee taster or bartender, learn all about proper nutrition from a real nutritionist, do yoga or sports under the guidance of experienced athletes...

“Human connection is at the core of what we do,” says Catherine Powell, Head of Airbnb Experiences. “With so many people needing to stay indoors to protect their health, we want to provide an opportunity for our hosts to connect with our global community of guests in the only way possible right now, online.”
