Families, elderly travelers, people with disabilities and other passengers requiring extra assistance to benefit from new service of the Sydney Airport, Australia.  It allows passengers to engage a qualified companion to assist them throughout the airport journey and beyond, thanks to the airport partnership with Medical Travel Companions (MTC).

MTC’s professional travel companions provide assistance to passengers including families with young children, people with disabilities, elderly travelers and passengers recovering from injury or surgery, among others. Assistance can be provided across the entire airport journey with the service tailored to cater for individual needs.

Sydney Airport CEO Geoff Culbert said the partnership was part of the airport’s broader efforts to continue improving accessibility and provide a comfortable and convenient experience for all passengers.

“Air travel should be a magical experience and services such as this help ensure it’s as relaxing and enjoyable as possible for everyone,” he said.

Medical Travel Companions Co-Founder and CEO Ben Wilson said: “Sydney is the busiest airport in Australia and the gateway to one of the best cities in the world – and we now offer customers a personalised experience, from when they arrive at their gate through to when they check in at their hotel in the city or step aboard their harbour cruise.”
